Where AI Ethics
Becomes Measurable.

We are building a laboratory and fellowship community that helps students, alumni, practitioners, and researchers collaborate on real-world AI governance, resilience, and public-interest technology challenges.

Vision, Mission & Goals

Vision
To advance society's ability to understand, govern, and responsibly deploy artificial intelligence through evidence, inquiry, and informed public engagement. We envision a future in which decisions about artificial intelligence are guided not by fear, hype, ideology, or commercial interest, but by evidence, transparency, accountability, and a commitment to the public good. VOX Felix seeks to help bridge the gap between technology, governance, public understanding, and real-world experience.
Mission
VOX Felix Laboratory Corporation is a nonprofit research and public-interest organization dedicated to discovering, investigating, and communicating evidence regarding the impact of artificial intelligence on individuals, organizations, communities, institutions, and society. Through research, ethics exploration, educational experimentation, and public engagement, VOX Felix seeks to improve society's understanding of artificial intelligence and support informed decision-making regarding its responsible use. The organization pursues this mission through four complementary functions: AI Ethics & Governance Exploring the ethical, legal, societal, and governance implications of artificial intelligence. Research & Discovery Investigating how artificial intelligence is actually affecting organizations, communities, institutions, and society. AI Experiments & Prototyping Supporting educational experimentation, student projects, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept exploration. Operations & Sustainability Providing the organizational foundation necessary to support long-term impact, partnerships, communications, and mission execution.
Goals
To become a trusted source of evidence, insight, and informed discussion regarding artificial intelligence and its impact on society. VOX Felix seeks to: Goal 1: Discover What Is True Conduct independent research and investigation into the real-world effects of artificial intelligence across sectors, communities, and institutions. Goal 2: Improve AI Governance Advance practical frameworks for ethics, accountability, transparency, and responsible AI deployment. Goal 3: Support Public Understanding Translate complex technical and governance issues into accessible information that helps individuals, organizations, and policymakers make informed decisions. Goal 4: Foster Responsible Innovation Provide a laboratory environment where students, researchers, volunteers, and practitioners can explore, test, and evaluate AI concepts and technologies. Goal 5: Build Accountability Infrastructure Research and develop independent mechanisms capable of strengthening AI accountability, certification, governance, and public trust, including initiatives such as the AI Ethics Clearing House and Responsible AI Deployment Standards.

Our Work

Four Teams. One Mission.

Team 01

AI Ethics

Developing measurable, auditable, and verifiable standards for responsible AI deployment — from governance frameworks to kill-chain accountability.

Team 02

Research & Discovery

Independent research supporting all teams and external partners. Home of Project Sovereign Town and the public-interest AI evidence base.

Team 03

AI Laboratory

Applied AI builds and experimentation — from companion AI to governance tooling — demonstrating ethical AI rather than merely describing it.

Team 04

Operations

The organizational infrastructure that enables the mission: strategy, partnerships, finance, and institutional relationships.

Independent Research.
Real-World Impact.

VOX Felix Laboratory Corporation operates as an independent 501(c)(3) research organization. Our findings are published for public benefit. Where our research intersects with applied technology challenges — including municipal cloud resiliency and edge-native AI deployment — we collaborate contractually with ecosystem partners who operationalize our work in the field.

Join the Fellowship

We are seeking students, early-career professionals, and researchers who want to work on questions that don't yet have obvious answers. This is not a traditional internship.
